Continental: Most jobs are safe into 2011

Management and clerical jobs at Continental Airlines are safe for at least eight months, the company said Friday in a regulatory filing. Corporate officers are the only ones facing imminent job cuts, with CEO Jeff Smisek planning to make an announcement soon regarding executive positions at the post-merger United Airlines.
